Thanks for joining in with the service to celebrate Chris' life.
Feel free to add your own memories, stories, photos, thoughts and prayers here. As we're not able to meet and share these things in person, we can have the conversations we would have had here and catch up with each other.
Whether it's reflections on the service, replying to someone else's post or letting us know what you're up to, it's all fine - we'd be glad to hear it.
Hi Janis and Ian. I always used to enjoy looking round the congregation when Dad played Messiaen to check the responses. I think marmite is the word!
I have just listened to and watched the thanksgiving service in memory of Chris and found it very moving. Chris was a member of MRMC in St. Albans and our church organist. His musical contribution to the services was immense and he played a wide variety of music, some quiet and contemplative and some at the opposite end of the spectrum. His offerings of Messiaen were not always to everyone's taste but they always evoked a response! I especially welcomed all the Bach he played throughout the years. Aside from his music Chris was a supportive and wise friend. Ian and I greatly valued his and Dilys' friendship. Janis and Ian Reply 0 janis.idgconsultants
